The news of Porsche,s complete failure of diesel engines has been exaggerated. The lack of diesel modifications in the range of the German brand is temporary and does not mean that it will no longer be available. The company is planning a diesel modification for the new Cayenne, although no exact timing for its appearance is yet to be established, according to Porsche,s official statement cited by /Autocar/.
Two days ago, the British magazine announced that the cult brand stops forever production of diesel-powered cars. In fact, it,s only for the current models that are equipped with the Volkswagen V6 3.0 TDI engine.
The information is also confirmed by the Porsche Russland,s public relations Director. According to Oksana Hartonyuk, Cayenne will have a diesel modification, but she does not give details of the engine that will be fitted to the model.
